Why add credentials

Tax Pro Foundry awards CE credit from multiple credentialing bodies — currently IRS (PTIN and Enrolled Agent) and NASBA (CPA), with more coming. When you complete a course:

  1. We check which credential bodies the course is registered with
  2. We check which licenses you hold
  3. You receive one certificate per matching body — each with its own serial and properly formatted credit

Example: an EA with a PTIN and a CPA who both complete the same course each get a certificate for their own credential — the EA an IRS CE certificate, the CPA a NASBA CPE certificate.

Adding your licenses

Go to Account → My Credentials:

  • IRS — your PTIN (preparer) or Enrolled Agent status
  • NASBA — your CPA license number and state

Adding an IRS license fills in your PTIN everywhere it's needed — including exams that require one.

Removing or changing

Remove or re-add licenses anytime under Account. Certificates already issued keep the license number they were issued with.

Privacy

Your license numbers appear only on your own certificates. They are never listed publicly.
