Course structure
Courses are organized into modules and lessons. Each lesson is self-paced reading with an optional knowledge-check quiz. Finish every lesson to unlock the final exam (when the course has one).
Lessons
- Lessons track your progress as you complete them — resume anytime.
- Some lessons include a short quiz; pass it to mark the lesson complete.
- Lessons marked free preview are open to everyone; the rest require enrollment (purchase or team seat).
Final exams
Courses that award CE credit end with a final exam, built to IRS standards:
- Timed — the clock starts when you begin; a short grace period applies at the end
- Minimum duration — you cannot submit instantly; the exam expects you to work through it
- Attempt limits and cooldowns — set per course; you'll see your remaining attempts
- Question rotation — each attempt draws a fresh, topic-balanced paper
- Integrity controls — copy, right-click, and printing are disabled during exams
Passing score is shown before you start. Results and explanations appear after submission (exams for AFTR credit show topic-level feedback only).
Certificate issuance
Your certificate is issued automatically when all lessons are complete and the final exam is passed (if the course has one). No extra steps — see Certificates.
CE credit hours
Each course page shows its CE credit hours and which credential bodies award credit — look for the IRS and NASBA badges. One completion can earn credit from multiple bodies at once; see Credentials.
